Dietmar Hamann
When he is not a pundit for the BBC, or coaching, Hamann still finds time to play for league one MK Dons at 37 years old. The sprightly Defensive Midfielder still looks lean and quick as ever. He just missed out on Euro '96 glory with Germany, making his international debut a year later.
Paul Dickov
Player/manager at Oldham, Dickov is most memorable for his time in the Premier League with Leceister City. During his career, including his current side Oldham and loan spells, he has been at no less than 13 different clubs. Limited success and age has seen him play less and less in recent times. But at nearly 38 he is registered as player/coach at Oldham Athletic.
Dean Windass
Big Deano is still playing, allbeit for lowly Scarborough, at the ripe old age of 41. Windass has shown some good performances late on, proving that old guys can still do a job in some cases. His second period at Hull between '07 and '09 saw him score 20 goals and help the Tigers first survive the Championship, then get promoted, securing his status as a cult hero at the club. A lower Premiership regular in his youth he couldn't quite manage it at nearly 40 when Hull were promoted, but a unique and admirable achievement to have been playing so high up at such advanced years.
